Jack Black, born in Santa Monica, California, and attended the University of California at Los Angeles. At UCLA he was a member of Tim Robbins acting troupe and it was this collaboration that led to his 1992 film debut in Bob Roberts (1992) Although he was just a background voice in his first film, Jack's appearances in such television shows as The X Files, his breakthrough performance in High Fidelity (2000), and his rock/comedy band, 'Tenacious D', have created an ever growing cult following.

Jack Black is mostly recognised for his outstanding acting in his l8est film "School Of Rock!" in which he cheats his way in to a teaching job and ends up givin music and rokin the world ,this is a must see btw, he has also starred in "Shallow Hal" in which he plays a guy hu is always focused on the outside and is given a mind jobby by a tv guru and then SEEMS to be able to get any1 he wants. Jack has even starred in ice-Age that reli groovy CG animated thingy with all da critters in it..he played the voice of Zeke (pronounced zig) in Sodo's Pack, and inturn added his touch to the film!
